Following a weekend off, King’s Lynn triathlon club were back in action for the Culford Summer Sprint Triathlon, a 300m pool swim, 21km bike around the surrounding countryside and a 4km run in the school grounds. Maureen Wolfe led he clubmates home and won her age group in 1hr12min (7min40s/41min42/19min01), narrowly beating Paul Dunthorne who finished in 1hr13min (7min35/43min48/18min14). Alice Page narrowly missed out an age group 3rd place with her time of 1hr22min (5min31/47min00/26min00), with Vicky Dunthorne completing the line up with a finish time of 1hr39min (10min34/52min41/29min56). Ben Smith was also taking part and won his age group in 57min58s (4min55/34min36/16min14) and Jess Cunningham came out to play too, but is still avoiding running for the time being so only swam and biked. Over at a very choppy Rutland water, Jemma Redhead had a very different race - a simple 4km swim. It was her longest swim to date and the wind and chop only seemed to add to her enjoyment, completing the distance in 1hr47min.
